Obituary for Barbara Marie Sabean

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother and grandmother, Barbara (Muise) Sabean, age 75, of Deerfield, Yarmouth Co., N.S. She was born November 5, 1946, and passed on February 4, 2022, peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with her children by her side. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Grace (Nickerson) Muise and was predeceased by her husband, Winston Sabean. She is survived by her four children, Everett (Krista) Sabean of Deerfield, Stevie (Laura) Sabean of Deerfield, Laurie (Doug) Steadman of South Ohio, Carmen Sabean of Yarmouth; and her four grandsons, whom she was very proud of and loved dearly, Steven, Jarrett, Hunter, and Nolan. She is survived by siblings Bo (Joyce) Muise, Ann Wallace Marjorie (Dave) Crosby, Mickey (Doris) Muise, Debbie Nickerson, Sheila (Herbert) Malone. She was predeceased by her sister, Kay (Sissy) Letemplier, and brother, William Muise. Barb was a member of the Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church and a lady of great faith that loved the Lord. She enjoyed reading her Bible and singing. She was a Sunday school teacher for over 16 years and was active with church initiatives such as soup kitchens and the Road to Bethlehem. She loved going for ice cream and long drives. She especially loved a good bag day at Sally Ann’s. Most of all, she loved her family with all of her heart. We wish to thank the nursing staff on 4 North, VON and Homecare, and Dr. Lisa Gillis and her team for the care mom received over the past years during her journey. Donations in memory can be made to the Cancer Society and Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside service will take place in Brazil Lake Cemetery on May 14, 2022, at 2 P.M. with Rev. Kevin Myers officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.sweenysfuneralhome.net

A gathering of friends and family will be held following the graveside service. All are welcomed to attend the Deerfield Fire hall.
