CAIN, Barbara Mae
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of a wonderful wife and best friend; an extraordinary mother, grandmother, sister and friend. On the 15th of November, Barbara passed away peacefully with family at her side in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Albert Gordon Hayes and Helen Lilian (nee Anderson) of Westmount, Quebec. Barbara is survived by husband David; son Jeffrey (Karen); daughters Jennifer (Steve) Park and Tara (Eric) Kohl; granddaughters Shaelyn, Cassidy and Devon Park, and Elyssa Kohl; grandsons Liam Cain and Travis Kohl; sister Susan (Edward) Rivet. Barbara volunteered with various entities throughout her life; she was an avid quilter and enjoyed providing heirloom quilts to her family. She was also a phenomenal cook and loved having family and friends enjoy her creations with her. There will be no visitation or funeral at Barbara's request. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Mountain Cemetery, Yarmouth. The family wishes to acknowledge the help and kindness of Dr. David Webster, the Tri-County Victorian Order of Nurses and Sweeney's Funeral Home in Yarmouth.
