Barbara Nickerson of Yarmouth passed away on July 13, 2022. She was the daughter of Taft and Fran Wallace. Barbara was the eldest of 12 children. She was predeceased by her husband Perry Nickerson, son Keith Bridgeo, 1 brother and 1 sister. She is survived by her daughters Celinda (Joe) Balser, Bethany (Donnie) Cushing, Francine (Derek) Lesser; stepdaughters Marcie and Jody Nickerson; as well as 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Family was very important to Barbara and her children were her pride and joy. Barbara worked at the Vanguard, was a member of the Red Hatters, and attended Temple Baptist Church. Barbara loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed the music on the waterfront, travelling and as she would tell you... “was here for a good time not a long time”. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A visitation will be held Monday, July 18, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside celebration of life will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 2 P.M. from Carleton Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Pitcher officiating. Following the service, a time of fellowship will take place in Temple Baptist Church Community Hall, all are welcomed.
