Jacquard, Anthony Joseph (Tony “Papa”) 76 of Wedgeport, passed away with his son Steve and daughter in law Nicole by his side at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on November 23,2019. He was a son of the late Dennis and Isabelle (Fitzgerald) Jacquard. He was a lobster and scallop fishermen all his working career. Better known as “Papa “, he was a kind and gentle man loved by everyone that knew him. He always spoke to everyone and always had a smile. Papa loved fishing especially with his son on the boat in the summer and helping to band lobsters with him. His passion was to be on the water. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by son, Steven (Nicole) ,who he lived with the past 7 years; daughters, Trina Jacquard ; Leanne ( Andrew ) Mullen ; Michelle (Darrel) Purdy; step children ,Joanne (Harry) Doucet; Troy (Tina) Doucet ; Lezin (Nicole) Doucet ; grand children ,Tyler (Taylor) ;Alisa (Shay) ;Alex ; Ryan (Courtney); Meighan ( Damon); Samuel Mullen ; Benjamin ( Elizabeth)Mullen ; Blake(Brandy) Creelman ;Emma (Reilly) Comeau ; Arielle Doucet ; Brady Doucet ; Crystal (Ryan)Doucet ; Jenna (Andrew) Porter ; Jordan Doucet ; Carmen Doucet ; adopted grandchildren, Jade; Kaya and Nash; brothers, Jimmy; George; Gene; Ralph ; sister, Agnes. Besides his parents he was predeceased by wife, Helen Doucet ; son Gerard ; brothers Delphis ; Melbourne; Reuben; sisters, Helen and Virginia. He was a very special person that was loved by so many . A special mention to Vanessa Clattenburg , Sharon Rhyno , Judy and Bruce Belliveau all who he loved very much! Special thanks to Dr Gilles and nurse Robyn for taking care of Papa so well. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth, NS. A Celebration of Life will be held January 17,2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Interment to follow in Saint Anne Du Ruisseau Parish Cemetery.
