Obituary for Ann "Rosa" Rose Hattie

HATTIE Ann Rose "Rosa" - age 94, of Yarmouth, passed away peacefully in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on August 28,2019 with her loving family by her side. Born in Wedgeport on June 5,1925 she was a daughter to the late Benjamin and Delphine (Leblanc) Robicheau. Rosa was a loving mother and was so proud of her family that she loved unconditionally. She was kind, compassionate and loving. She was a devoted member of the St Ambrose Cathedral, member of the Catholic Women's League, worked for the Sister's of Assumption, and member of the Golden Age club. She loved to sell tickets and was known as the "white haired ticket lady" to many. She was also a Witcher (a water finder). A social butterfly she could often be found sitting at Sobey's having a chat with anyone who would listen. She also loved spending time with her daughter in law Kim Hattie. She is survived by her daughters, Irene (William) Pothier, Wedgeport; Carmen Thibeau (Bob Allen), Tusket; sons, Paul (Darlene), Halifax and Alan Yarmouth and Son in law Joe Doucette Melbourne, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter as well as special friend of the family Marie Cottreau and Michael Eugene Stewart who always held a special place in her heart. Besides her parents Rosa was predeceased by her husband, Edward; daughter’s Donna Woolham and Nancy Doucette, son Randy (Buckey) Hattie. Brothers; Delphis, Douglas, Willy, Lorris, Elzear; sisters, Zita, and Marcella. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday September 3,2019 at 10 A.M. from St Ambrose Cathedral with Father Henry Smolanarrs officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.Donations in memory may be made to the Villa St Joseph du Lac or a Charity of your Choice.
