Obituary for Allan Roy LeBlanc

LeBlanc, Allan Roy - 74, of Yarmouth (Most recently Nakile Home for Special Care) died peacefully at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on January 29, 2018 due to complications from Alzheimer ’s Disease. Born in Halifax on July 13, 1943, he was the son of the late Roy and Laura (Cormier) LeBlanc. Allan was co-founder of Cassa Business Equipment and was very active with many community organizations. Nothing made him happier than spending time with family and listening to music. He had the ability to whistle any tune. He is survived by his second wife, Eileen (Symonds) (Wallace) LeBlanc; children, Alanna (Dave) Emin, Cole Harbour; Stacey (Kevin) Walsh, Falmouth; Craig (Michele) LeBlanc, Summerville, Yarmouth County; sister, Noreen (Carl) Meade, Halifax; grandchildren, Madison, Miranda, Cooper, Maxwell, Samuel, & Ben; step children, Angela (Mark) Lawton, Mississauga; Dana (Steven) Hamilton, Ireton; Trevor (Stephanie) Wallace, Yarmouth; grandchildren, Olivia, Megen, Claire, & Aila. Besides his parents Allan was predeceased by his first wife, Sharyn (Lavers) LeBlanc; brother, Frank; and sister, Charlene. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Thursday February 1, 2018 from 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of a Christian Burial will take place Friday February 2, 2018 at 11 A.M. from Saint Ambrose Cathedral with Fr. Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. A reception will follow in the in Saint Ambrose Jubilee Room. In lieu of flowers donations in Allan’s memory may be made to VON Tri-County Adult Day Program which he regularly attended.
