Alice Smith (Harding) passed away November 2,2022 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, August 24,1951 she was a daughter to the late Kenneth and Minnie (Nickerson) Harding. Alice was part of a big family; this instilled the importance of family and love. Her own family meant the absolute world to her. She worked as a supervisor at the Yarmouth Walmart later in life and was well loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed painting and gardening, having quite the green thumb. Alice is survived by her sons, Derek (Tara); Cory; Derek (Marla) Hapenny; siblings, Muriel; Hilbert; Pearl; Ray; Paul; Pauline; Murray; Margaret; Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Aside from her parents she was predeceased by husband, Donald; siblings, Lorraine; Edwin; Chester; Lloyd; Keith; Earl; Mabel; Victor; Lawrence. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A celebration of Alice’s life will be held, Monday November 7, 2022, at 1:00pm from the Forest Glen Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the NS Lung Association.
