Donaldson, Alan Eugene, 66 of Saulnierville, NS. Passed away peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on March 12,2020. Born August 1, 1953 in Yarmouth he was a son to the late Eugene and Sadie (Goodwin) Donaldson and stepfather Gilbert Goodwin. Alan was a mechanic by trade, taking over his stepfather Gilberts business after his passing, G.E. Goodwin & Son. He was a truck driver for many years working with various trucking companies. He enjoyed going to Tim Hortons, drives to the wharf, which he insisted he had his own parking spot and just to look around. He was a devoted husband to his wife Susan, taking care of her at home following her stroke. He is survived by his wife Susan (Leblanc); sons, Clark (Simone) Donaldson, Lower Argyle; Julian (Sheena Stoddard) Donaldson, Pubnico; step daughters, Aimee(Jeffrey) Leblanc, St. Alphonse; Colette (Craig) Weaver; brother Sheldon (Dawn) Donaldson, Lower Argyle; sister Toddie (Dun) d’Entremont, Lower Argyle; grandchildren, Maria, Summer, Zoe, Oaklynn, Jonah, Jasmine. Funeral arrangements been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Pubnico. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Pubnico. Memorial donations may be made to the Renal Dialysis unit at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for the care shown during his stay with them.
