Obituary for Agnes Marie Hurlburt

It is with broken hearts that the family of Agnes Marie (Muise) Hurlburt announce her passing on Wednesday, July 8,2020. Born February 2,1951 in Quinan, she was the six-child born to Tommy and Liza (Frotten) Muise. Agnes attended school in Quinan and Yarmouth High School. After high school she went on to train as a hair stylist under the schooling of Helen and Albert Shraier. In later years Agnes developed a love of cooking and could sit and read a recipe book as one would read a novel. Her love of cooking and baking helped her tremendously as her health declined. If she had a day that she felt well enough to bake she would do so, and the following day treat her friends and family to goodies. Never one to quit too soon when there was work to be done, she cleaned the offices of Vaughne Assurance until she was no longer able. Her love of housekeeping took her to the homes of Glenna and Cal Boudreau, Michael and Cathy Drew and David and Marilyn Webster. She is survived by her son, Nicholas (Stephanie) Hurlburt; granddaughters, Megan , Kennedy; grandson, Benjamin; Nicholas’s father, Richard (Nancy) Hurlburt; stepsons Mark (Lisa) Hurlburt; Ritchie (Tara) Hurlburt; six siblings, Linda Surette; Jane White; Theresa Poirier (Ernest Bourque); Gordon (Evelyn) Muise; James Muise (Christine); Michael Muise (Cathy); Aunt, Evelyn Clements (Mel) ; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends near and far. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Leslie Muise; brother in law, Alphie. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be Sunday, July 12,2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, prayers at 8pm from the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel.
